Occupational Therapy

The goal of occupational therapy is to improve, sustain or restore the highest possible level of independence for someone who has suffered an injury, illness, cognitive impairment, developmental or learning disability. Occupational therapists focus on activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing and dressing, assist with recommendations for home and job adaptations, provide adaptive equipment recommendations and train in their use and perform skills assessments and recommend treatment.
