BENEFITS AT A GLANCE
Staff of Eastern Rehabilitation Network are employed by Hartford Hospital (HH), which offers a comprehensive benefits program. Full time is being scheduled to work 40 hours per week, and part time is being scheduled to work 20-39 hours per week. The benefits package includes:
Medical Insurance - available through Aetna on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment for full-time and eligible part-time employees. Coverage may be purchased for spouse, dependents to age 26, domestic or civil union partners. Three plans are available including a Health Savings Account. Cost is shared by employee and company.
Dental Insurance - available on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment for full-time and eligible part-time employees. Coverage may be purchased for spouse, dependents to age 26, and domestic or civil union partners. Two levels of coverage are available to full time employees; availability of coverage for part time employees does not include major restorative services or orthodontia. Cost is shared by employee and company. Paid Time Off, "Choice Time" - a bank of time off that includes vacation, personal and/or sick time. Seven fixed holidays remain separate. Choice Time amounts are based on scheduled hours, position and years of service. Cost is paid by HH.
Savings/Retirement Plan (401K) - available at the time of hire. Human Resources will provide an information packet with plan review and enrollment information. Employee contributes and HH matches 100% on the first 4% saved and 50% of the next 2% saved.
Short-term Disability (STD) - The HH-paid STD is for staff working 20 or more hours per week. It continues 60% of salary for up to 26 weeks after using 5 Choice Time days. Employees can also purchase supplmental STD.
Long-term Disability – effective on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment for full-time employees. Cost is paid by HH.
Life Insurance (basic life and accidental death and dismemberment) – effective on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment for full-time employees. Cost is paid by HH. Employees can also purchase supplemental life insurance.
Flexible Spending Accounts (health care spending account; dependent care spending account; limited flexible spending account if enrolled in Aetna Choice HSA Plan) – available on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment and during open enrollment for full-time and eligible part-time employees. The employee contributes pre-tax dollars.
Continuing Education - effective upon hire. Each full-time or eligible part-time employee, per diems who work 1,000 hours per year, and pay-per-visit employees who maintain a schedule of 12 vists per week, has monies provided to use for enhancing skills. Employees can select from ERN offerings (more than 150 hours/year), courses offered by affiliates of Hartford HealthCare, and outside offerings.
Tuition Reimbursement - for approved job-related or degree courses. Years of service based on the employee’s hire date and status (full-time/ part-time) determine the level of financial eligibility. Tuition Reimbursement is granted on a first come, first serve basis.
