INSURANCE and PROGRAM PAYMENT
Hartford Hospital is a participating provider with most insurance, managed care and workers' compensation plans. We invoice insurance companies directly whenever possible.
Please bring your insurance card to your first appointment. Most insurance plans require a co-pay for services and this is collected at each appointment. For programs and fees that are not part of an insurance benefit, Hartford Hospital may be paid directly. Checks (payable to Hartford Hospital), or debit and credit cards are accepted for co-pays and non-insurance programs. Please check with your billing representative about your balance or payment arrangements.

Insurances have different plans and benefits. We recommend that you contact your insurance company for guidance regarding co-pays and deductibles for "outpatient hospital services" as you are ultimately responsible for payment. There is usually a toll free number on the insurance identification card for "Member Services" where you can call and get assistance. For those in the workforce, questions can also be directed to the employer's Human Resources or Personnel departments.
