ERN offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
Medical Insurance – available through Aetna on the first day of the month after date of hire for full-time and eligible part-time (30 hours or more per week) employees. Coverage may be purchased for spouse, dependents to age 19 or 25 if a full-time student, and domestic or civil union partners. Cost is shared by employee and company.
Dental Insurance – available on the first day of the month after date of hire for full-time and eligible part-time (30 hours or more per week) employees. Coverage may be purchased for spouse, dependents to age 19 or 25 if a full-time student, and domestic or civil union partners. Cost is shared by employee and company.
Long-term Disability – effective on the first day of the month after date of hire for fulltime and eligible part-time (30 hours or more per week) employees. Plan benefits are available after thirteen weeks of disability upon approval. Cost is paid by ERN.
Group Term Life Insurance – effective on the first day of the month after date of hire for full-time and eligible part-time (30 hours or more per week) employees. The benefit is equal to the annual salary rounded up to the nearest thousand. Cost is paid by ERN.
Savings/Retirement Plan (401K) – effective January or July following six months of service. The employee (age 21) contributes pre-tax dollars to the plan and employer match is up to 50% of the first 6% of employee's contribution. Full-time employees and employees reaching 1,000 hours of employment in a 12-month period are eligible.
Flexible Spending Accounts (health care account and/or dependent care account) – available first day of month after hire and each January. Full-time employees and eligible part-time (20 hours or more per week) employees contribute pre-tax dollars.
Paid Time Off (PTO), a bank of time off that includes vacation, sick and holiday time – accrual begins on date of hire for all full-time and part-time (20 hours or more per week) employees. Rates are based on scheduled hours and position:
- Support personnel 0.08462/hr up to 40 hrs/week (up to 3.37 hrs/week)
- Clinical/professional personnel 0.10385/hr up to 40 hrs/week (up to 4.15 hrs/week)
- Managers and Directors 0.11154/hr up to 40 hrs/week (up to 4.46 hrs/week)
- Accrual rates increase with longevity and/or promotion. Cost is paid by ERN.
Continuing Education - effective upon hire. Each full-time or eligible part-time (20 hours or more per week) employee has monies provided to use for enhancing skills. Employees can select from ERN offerings (more than 150 hours/year), affiliates of Hartford HealthCare, and outside offerings.
Tuition Reimbursement, for approved degree, diploma, or clinical certification programs - effective after 12 continuous months of employment for employees who work 30 hours or more per week. Expenses covered are based on the employee's years of service and hours worked.
